Why I do not "give" links to "Gazeta Wyborcza" here?

Tomasz Rychlicki @ 22.03.2005

There are some reasons. The basic reason IMHO is the "pay access" to the articles archive. Maybe "Gazeta Wyborcza" thinks highly about its content. I do not want to comment it too much especially when I look at worlds trends about access to such publications. Second problem (more essential) is a high lack of competence presented by some authors. I wrote about some cases before and now there is another one. I mean a feature article (sorry English readers its in Polish and I can not provide You translated copy. Blame me (I'm really lazy) and BabelFish ;) by Mr Witold Gadomski. I will not comment it. I suggest You to read an "answer" on www.7thguard.net (in Polish too, sorry) website. There are good comments to this article on "Gazeta Wyborcza" website .
I would like to make a small statement here on the margin of the case mentione above. I am not an opponent of a patent law, on the contrary its my passion. But I am an opponent against the possibility of granting patents for computer programmes (software). I will not deny there is no innovations in this field of science or if someone prefers inventions. I think that human acts in science and in artistic creations should be covered by law. There is no doubt. The author and all entitled persons should have the right to profit from its intellectual property (I know that this term is discussed widely as same as industrial property one in the law doctrine). But I opt for balanced legal regulations in this field of IP law in the aspect of consumer rights. That was briefly. Thank You for Your attention.
